I have chosen 100% Habotai silk as my canvas for my silk paintings. I use a French technique called Serti to create the images. Using Procion dyes I paint the images onto the silk. Watching the colors explode across the silk is exhilarating. The silk fabric adds a luster to the painting that is unique to this medium.
